Born in France, I have been living abroad most of these last 25 years. I am a visual media addict and tried so many disciplines but photography really stuck with me. The result is more than two decades of dwelling into this medium, gradually developing a more structured approach to my favourite subject matter, landscapes. Black & White and long exposures techniques have then come to support the minimalist and abstract approach of my work.

 

This approach came to me as a reaction to today’s overstimulating life, a way to balance my life altogether. Black and White brings us to the bare essentials of contrast, long exposures changes our perception of time and abstraction alters our sense of reality. Through my pictures I am drawing my viewers into a peaceful and contemplative state of mind. I wish to share with them the meditative state I am in when I take these shots. Whether it is on the seaside, in the mountains or in the city I am trying to create a timeless atmosphere, a parenthesis in time, photographs with no time nor place. A bent reality that becomes my own.
